|HELP, HELP, HELP! Our treasurer, Rob Dolan is moving from WBV and we need a volunteer to finish his term of office. We thank him for his service and wish he and Maureen a happy, healthy life together with lots of PB courts nearby! To volunteer as PB Treasurer, contact email@example.com|
Membership - Our PB club now has a total of 288 members. Our membership Committee Chairwoman, Kathye Handsaker has the roster updated with addresses and phone numbers. We are making it available to all club members using their private password on March 10th at 8:00am. Be advised - if you do not want other members to see your address and phone number, you need to go to your personal website information page and OPT OUT. You may also opt out of receiving emails from the club after you leave for the summer. Click on this link and update your personal information! Update Your Membership Record
Courtesy on the Courts - Please exit the court every time a game is finished when there are other members playing. Take a break and get a drink, another group will finish soon and then play in a different group. Play with people that you do not know, meet some of our new members - they are shy, so be aggressive and invite them to join you, that way you will make a new friend. Please do not invite guests or non members to play with you during club play times, our courts are crowded and this is a courtesy to your fellow members.
Clinics - Thanks to Trainer Ray Thompson and his Volunteer Teachers who sponsored a clinic for Newbies from Jan. 12 - Feb. 20. Our club membership increased by approximately 50 of these attendees. The clinic is over but the group is still coming to play together on Thurs. and Sat. at 10:30 am. They are improving and as the weather gets hotter they will be coming earlier and mingling with the Intermediate players. Thanks to everyone who has helped this group enjoy the game, please continue to play with them and make them feel welcome.
USAPA Ladders - A new Ladder has been formed to accommodate approximately 20 of these new members. The Team Captain is Jdee Birkland firstname.lastname@example.org and her assistant is Lois Kumerow. They meet on Tues. mornings at 10:30-12:00, using 4-5 courts. WBVPC has 4 Ladders with 106 participants last week and approximately 60 players who had made other plans but will be returning in a week or two. Any member may join in the easy group competition provided by these ladders.
