January 6, 2018

Hello [First], 2018 is finally upon us. Will we top 2017?  Yup, "you betcha"  to use a John B. phrase.

The HOA has been busy analyzing card swipes. Have you ever wonder how we are doing? Yes?... we are up 24% from last year but, with alittle more analysis the numbers show that 350 Village residents swiped cards for pickleball 14,240 times (41 per resident, really?) Please get a routine in place to swipe. We made great progress in 2017 and we really need to take another step forward in 2018.

Our eight new courts are looking fantastic. So, a Ribbon Cutting ceremony is being discussed. I would like to have a band, food and the full HOA Board for ribbon cutting and a few pictures for the Living magazine. Ok, when you might say? I have been asked by the HOA not to discuss this event until we are bit closer....but it might just dovetail our Valentines Tournament.... Oops, the February 10th Valentines Tournament, is yet to be announced ..... Give your new Board a little to get organized.

Hats off to Lois/Steve for their efforts on coordinating Club Parking assistance for the HOA Market Place.  It makes our Club look great.  The Market Place will run through April the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Yes, you know, I must remind you that if you have not paid your 2018 dues...Please stop by the Vista Rec Center and do so.

When death touches a Club member we are saddened.  In this case, it is the sudden death of the Capitano family. Joe Capitano’s son, daughter in law, and a grand-daughter and grandson died in a tragic accident involving carbon monoxide poisoning. An account has been set up to help the family in Helen Capitano’s name at Chase bank account # 25223779. No cash, wire, or electronic deposits. Joe is requesting no visitors or food.
I was asked to remind everyone that Steve Rommel's Fitness Class would be a great addition to our overall Club member Health...The cost is $5.00 and it's held Tues/Thur/Sat

We met our goal in 2017 with articles in the Living magazine every month published . Are you a good writer? How about taking this on? 180 words and 2 pics and you take control of our Living article edition submission. If you do the initial work our Publicity Team will proof it and voila....

Mark your 2018 calendars...This is the good stuff. Your Pickleball Club Board Meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 1:00 in Vistas Conference Room C and our General  Membership Meetings are scheduled for February 26th an November 12th in the Vista Ballroom.
*~^o^~ cheer

Oh... one more, the New Resident Orientation will be held at the Lakes on January 23rd in the Lakes Ballroom on January 23rd from 4-6:00pm. Would you like to share  your Pickleball Club experiences with new residents? Let me know. Pat and I will set up our table, but would like a few smiling faces to assist with the messaging.                          ("message not massage"...just to see who's reading).
